I am a singer songwriter who also loves to take frequent dips into the world of writing. I am so very appreciative of Gather because it gives me a ready platform for both of these pursuits. . . . more

Chana (I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round & round.), Jun 29, 2009, 4:21PM EDTRon, wow I didn't realize we were connected. Sometimes I am just so dense. (like now) I wasn't commenting on my poem because it was for Thomas W. I thought I would let him comment where/when he wanted to. I did comment to you though. I actually did notice the rating (I don't a lot of the time.) which is now up to 6.4, just checked, lol! Thank you so much for the feature! I worked on this one really hard (Does that even sound right? I am really, really tired!) as he is a dear friend to me. I consider the feature a compliment to his amazing writing. I hope you are having a fabulous day! Chana
P.S. BTW, I love your address name, that is great! Mine is discombobulated, which I can be. -
Ed Williams , May 24, 2009, 4:45PM EDTRon, you have a great profile, look forward to learning more about both your songwriting and singing!

Sarah A., Apr 19, 2009, 1:20PM EDTYour comment on growing up in a motel deserves a post, then a book.
Get on it, cause I want to hear all about it {;~') -
Ron Hall, Mar 19, 2009, 8:59AM EDTI've gotten some funny looks taking pictures at yard sales and I do explain, depending on the situation. If people are amused, I use the opportunity to promote my blog. If they look nervous, then I figure let them be nervous. It's good they should be nervous if they feel they have a reason to be. In those circumstances I don't tell them what I'm doing. I always avoid getting people's faces in the pictures.

Karen R., Mar 19, 2009, 3:39AM EDTWhen you take your pictures at yard sales do you ask permission to take them or just take them? Has anyone ever asked you why you are taking the pictures or asked you not to? I still have times when I take pictures and try not to be too obvious that I am taking them.

Robert (moving forward) S., Dec 30, 2008, 8:45PM ESTHi Ron - The Metro areas in our great state are moderately progressive. Ufortunately we are surrounded by a sea of goobers and red necks. I knew Bush was a crappy govenor so it was no big suprise that he turned out to be a crappy president. The big surprise was his re-election. That's OK, just 20 more days and it will all be over. It seems that we have survived.

(Jasper,( Disciple for Christ)W. w., Dec 22, 2008, 1:43PM ESTI agree happiness is contentment, But did you ever see a rich man that was content? There's always something that he needs, if he's got a million dollars, he is figuring how to make another million.Real contentment is in the Lord Jesus Christ.

(Jasper,( Disciple for Christ)W. w., Dec 22, 2008, 1:35PM ESTHi Ron I don't feel offended, but a man has been given a free will, to do and believe as he chose. It all boils down to what a man's priorities are , desire for earthly riches, which will decay, and do you no good when you leave this world, but if you put your priotories on Heavenly treasures then they will last for eternity, because they are stored up in heaven for you to reap, in the life here after.

Gail M., Nov 25, 2008, 6:21PM ESTThanks, Ron. I'm honored, and pleased to be part of the group. G.
